Hartlepool United have announced another pre-season friendly.
Pools will face Spennymoor Town for the second summer in a row, taking on the high-flying Moors at Billingham Town on Friday, July 22 (kick-off 7pm.
It will be playad at Bedford Terrace with Spennymoor’s Brewery Field HQ currently undergoing work.
Pools won 4-0 at the Brewery Field 12 months ago and loaned Lewis Hawkins to Moors last season, the midfielder performing well ahead of a return to Victoria Park in January.
Craig Hignett’s side will face a confident Moors side after former Pools midfielder Jason Ainsley led them to the EvoStik Premier League.
Spennymoor won promotion back in April when they beat Northwich Victoria 2-0 in the Evo-Stik Division One North play-off final.
It’s the sixth pre-season fixture for Pools after games against Billingham Town (Saturday), Sunderland (h, July 20), Livingston (a, July 23), Salford City (a, July 26) and Scunthorpe (h, July 30).
