Sunderland are set to be backed by more than 2,000 fans at Victoria Park this weekend.

Former Pools player Jack Ross brings his League One outfit to the Vic for their second pre-season game of the summer.

And despite defeat to Darlington in their opener in the week, Mackems are set to back Ross' side in their droves with more than 2,000 tickets sold for Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Elsewhere, tickets are have gone on sale for Pools' final pre-season friendly against Middlesbrough.

Boro will travel to Victoria Park on Saturday, July 28, kick-off 1pm.

A statement on the club website confirms: "Pools' fans can purchase tickets in the Prostate Cancer UK Stand or The Prestige Group CK Stand for the fixture, with Middlesbrough supporters seated in the Smith & Graham Stand.

"Tickets for the game are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions (Over 60, Under 16).

"Season Ticket seats will not be reserved for this fixture and all are now available for general sale within The Prestige Group CK Stand."

Pay on the gate will be available at both fixtures.
