Sunderland are set to clinch the signing of Liverpool youngster Liam Millar - and he could be a familiar face for Hartlepool fans.
According to Roker Report, the Black Cats are set to clinch the signing of the Canadian international striker in the next few days.
Millar, 19, is initially expected to join up with the club's under-23 squad - although he will no doubt be keen to catch the eye of first team manager Jack Ross.
Formerly of Fulham, the frontman joined Liverpool in 2016 where he played under ex-England international Steven Gerrard - who was thought to be a big fan of the attacker.
And the name may be somewhat familiar to Hartlepool fans with Millar having starred in Liverpool's FA Youth Cup triumph at Victoria Park last year.
He stole the show in a 5-1 win, netting a hat-trick and looking lively up top.
His fluid movement, pace and trickery caused plenty of problems for Pools' backline, and Sunderland fans will no doubt be hopeful that he exhibits more of the same qualities during his time on Wearside.
