HARTLEPOOL United’s new season ticket campaign has got off to a flying start as fans queued out the door to claim their favourite spot inside the Vic.
Healthy queues formed outside Victoria Park, in Clarence Road, as tickets went on general sale yesterday.
So far, the club has sold 1,606 tickets, with just over 200 sold that day alone, as the club hopes to repeat the staggering success of last year’s £100 offer.
Adult season tickets for the coming year are on sale at £155, which works out at less than £7 a game.
Russ Green, Pools’ chief executive, said: “The response so far has been excellent.
“There have been queues all day despite some bad weather and we just want fans to come down as soon as possible and get their tickets to guarantee the area of the ground they want.
“We want everyone to keep spreading the word and get as high as possible where we can hopefully give £15,000 away to somebody.”
Everyone over 16 who gets a season ticket will be entered into a prize draw for a jackpot which could raise as high as £15,000 depending on sales.
Senior prices are £125, under 19s can bag a seat for £75 and a season ticket for under 13s is only £50.
The current offer runs until the end of July.
