Rhys Oates was selected for his first start of the season as Ronnie Moore made two changes for the Capital One Cup match against Bournemouth.
Oates started up front in place of Scott Fenwick while at the back, on-loan defender, Andrew Boyce, also made his full debut after coming on as a sub for Matthew Bates in the 2-0 defeat at Stevenage.
While Pools made two alterations, it was all change for Bournemouth.
