JACK Compton comes in for the injured Andy Monkhouse in the only change to the Hartlepool United team for tonight’s match at home to Oxford United.
The 33-year-old left the field in last weekend’s 4-0 win over Bristol Rovers at Victoria Park and is replaced by Compton, with Pools again lining up in a 4-4-2 formation.
The rest of the starting XI stays the same but right-back Michael Duckworth, out injured with soft tissue damage, returns to the bench.
Pools, 10th in League Two and five points off the top seven, go into the game without the injured Neil Austin (toe), who is out for the season.
Oxford United, sixth in League Two, have caretaker manager Mickey Lewis in the dugout for his 12th game in charge after former boss Chris Wilder left for Northampton Town.
Lewis is without suspended duo Tom Newey and Michael Raynes while Johnny Mullins is injured after damage to his foot after colliding with the advertising boards at Chesterfield last Saturday.
Oxford are expected to announce their new manager on Saturday.
