Confirming the news, a statement on Pools website reads: "Saturday’s game against Barrow at Holker Street has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

"More rain than had been expected fell overnight which prompted The Bluebirds to arrange for a local referee to carry out an early morning pitch inspection.

"Unfortunately, with standing water on the playing surface and more bad weather forecast ahead of kick-off, the decision was taken to postpone the game.

"No new date has yet been confirmed for the fixture."

By the time next weekend's visit of Woking, Pools will have been without a game for three weeks.

Their last outing was on Saturday, January 27 - a 4-3 defeat at Eastleigh.
