Hartlepool United had a day to forget at Wimbledon on SAturday, losing 2-0.
Here are the ratings for the team and ref.
Trevor Carson: Outstanding for the second Saturday in a row. Five top-drawer saves. Was dropped in the mire by his defenders for the opening goal but elsewhere, out of this world. 8
Michael Duckworth: A very busy afternoon on his first start since September 1. Tried manfully, but like the rest of his defensive colleagues, was overworked. 6
Magnus Okuonghae: Never looked comfortable from the start and frequently asked tasks of Duckworth that he should have dealt with himself. Tried to play on after treatment but could not continue. 5
Matthew Bates: Top marks for effort for the ex-Boro man. Struggled in the first half, though was not alone in that regard, but a tower of strength in the second half. 7
Dan Jones: Like Duckworth, found himself overworked at times at left-back and was then switched to centre-half after Okuonghae’s exit. Difficult afternoon. 6
Rhys Oates: After being one of the few bright lights in recent weeks, this was a bit of a day at the office. One decent run ineach half, but otherwise ineffective. 5
Nicky Featherstone: Came on strong in second half but struggled in first 45. 5
Michael Woods: One decent shot aside, struggled in first half too. Bright start to second, but soon faded. 5
Jake Carroll: Gave two free-kicks away in dangerous positions and committed two yellow-card fouls at the same time and was fortunate not to get sent off. Played left-back for the last 55 minutes. 5
Billy Paynter: Not a great afternoon for Billy. A couple of shots and got back to defend, but a hard day. 5
Rakish Bingham: Nothing went right for Bingham. Lost ball constantly and was given a breather midway in second half. 6
Subs: Kudus Oyenuga (for Okuonghae 37): ‘Frightened’ the home goal with an overhead kick. Unlucky to concede penalty. 5
Scott Fenwick (for Bingham 67): Put defenders under pressure and looked to make things happen. One great diagonal ball for Paynter and went close himself from a corner. 7
Jason Banton (for Paynter 87): Saw little action. N/A
