Will Darren Sarll change a winning team as Pools prepare to welcome Southend?

5. Left-back: David Ferguson
Should edge another game closer to 200 for Pools. Made a strong start to life under Sarll with an excellent display in the West Country. Might hope for more opportunities to get forward back at Victoria Park. Photo: Frank Reid

6. Central-midfield: Jack Hunter
Arguably the outstanding performer in Somerset, Hunter took just 65 minutes to open his Pools account having scored just once in 79 games for Halifax. Will have to be similarly energetic this weekend against a Southend side including Jack Bridge, one of the National League's most creative midfielders. Photo: Frank Reid

7. Central-midfield: Nathan Sheron
The Victoria Park crowd will love Sheron's ability to set the tone and fly into challenges, although he'll have to tread carefully between combativeness and recklessness. Together with Hunter, the pair won the midfield battle against Yeovil but can expect a sterner examination this weekend. Photo: Frank Reid

8. Right-midfield: Joe Grey
Impressed with a lot of his work off the ball in Somerset and will have to do the same again for the visit of the Shrimpers, who will likely look to use flying wing-backs to hurt Pools. Scored 13 goals last season and will be targetting a similar number, at least, this term. Photo: Frank Reid
