Will Darren Sarll change a winning team as Pools prepare to welcome Southend?

9. Attacking-midfield: Adam Campbell
Had a crucial hand in the goal at Huish Park and made an impact with his threatening set-pieces and intelligent work, both in and out of possession. Will look to exploit pockets of space that Southend's shape could provide and continue his good start to life back in the North East. Photo: Frank Reid

10. Left-midfield: Luke Charman
Was really impressive at the weekend despite a disjointed pre-season, delivering a series of inviting crosses, showing a willingness to take on his full-back and diligently tracking his runner throughout. Sarll will demand more of the same on Saturday, with Southend wing-back Gus Scott-Morriss, who scored in the Shrimpers draw with York last week, regarded as one of the best in the league. 11. Striker: Mani Dieseruvwe
Sarll hailed him as one of the best strikers he's ever worked with when it comes to playing with his back to goal and also said he was in the best shape of his life. He'll continue to work hard for the team but will also be hoping to get a few opportunities to show just how good he is facing goal and would love to open his account for the new campaign; last season, he marked the first home game with a match-winning brace against Gateshead.
