Gary Liddle and Mark Shelton both made their debuts for Pools after joining on loan earlier in he month. Liddle was named Man of the Match on his return as Hartlepool kept a second consecutive clean sheet at Victoria Park going into Christmas.

1. Ben Killip - 6
Was rarely threatened, a simple afternoon for the Pools number one to keep a clean sheet as his biggest problem was probably keeping warm! Photo: Frank Reid
2. Peter Kioso - 7
Was lively throughout and got into some good forward areas. Shot wide early on following some great movement around the edge of the box. Photo: Mark Fletcher
3. Michael Raynes - 7
Caught on the back foot on a couple of occasions but often recovered well as part of a solid looking Pools defence. Photo: Frank Reid
4. Gary Liddle - 8
A comfortable and calm presence at the back who hasn’t been shy to get on the ball. Some good challenges and convincing clearances throughout the afternoon and was named as the fans' Man of the Match on his return. Photo: FRANK REID 2019
