TONY Mowbray has parted company with Middlesbrough.
Chairman Steve Gibson has taken the decision to remove the former Boro star from the hot-seat after a poor start to the Championship season.
It follows a desperate run of form in the second half of last season which saw Middlesbrough slide down the table.
Boro have just three league wins from 12 games this season, and were knocked out of the Capital One Cup at the first round stage by League Two Accrington.
Mowbray’s assistant, Hartlepool-born Mark Venus, will take temporary charge.
