Macauley Southam-Hales names two things he hopes to bring to Hartlepool United during loan spell from Fleetwood Town
Macauley Southam-Hales is hoping to build on his impressive Hartlepool United debut when the side visit Barnet in the National League this weekend (3pm kick-off).
The Fleetwood Town loanee impressed at right-back as Pools beat Stockport County 2-0 at Victoria Park last weekend.
For those who missed the 23-year-old’s performance, he discussed some of the qualities he’ll be hoping to bring to the Hartlepool side during his half-season loan spell.
“I’m a pacy, forward thinking player,” he said.
“I try to bring some excitement to the game even as a right-back – I know the saying is no one wants to grow up to be a right back but hopefully I can bring some enjoyment to the fans and the team.
“The lads have been first class as has the gaffer and the staff in helping me to settle in quickly. It’s about kicking on from here and keeping the play-offs in sight.”
