Marske FC announce 'signing' of Hartlepool United and Middlesbrough legend Dimi Konstantopoulos
Marske FC tweeted that former Middlesbrough and Hartlepool United goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos joined the club until the end of the season.
The 41-year-old shot stopper has been training with Pools for the majority of the season following his release from Boro.
Konstantopoulos hasn’t ruled out a return to Victoria Park with Pools having no available back-up to Ben Killip.
When Marske announced the ‘signing’ of Konstantopoulos via Twitter, the goalkeeper responded stating it was in fact ‘fake news’ before agreeing non-contract terms with Hartlepool.
