Gibson offer rejected
Middlesbrough are one of a number of Championship clubs to have had loan offers for defender Ben Gibson rejected by Premier League side Burnley. The centre-back has made just six appearances for the Clarets since his £15m move from Boro in August 2018 but Sean Dyche is resisting any offers for the player. Boro remain in the hunt for defensive reinforcements this month.
Sean Dyche on Ben Gibson
"We will wait and see. Like every player, history suggests that they do leave us at some point, all of them, even the ones I said no, they leave when that figure hits a figure.
“I am not going to start making big statements about people definitely being here and all that."
Che Adams deal not dead
Leeds United could still land top target Che Adams with Southampton set to make their final decision over the weekend, according to The Telegraph.
The Saints have knocked back three offers for the 23-year-old but "there is hope chairman Gao Jisheng will look again at the structure of the £20million deal and negotiate."
Ralph Hasenhuttl is adamant he wants Adams to stay in his squad but circumstances could take a dramatic twist in the next few days.

Hull boss Grant McCann on bids for in-demand Jarred Bown
“No, I don’t believe so, nothing’s come to me. As is well publicised, there was an improved (contract) offer made to Jarrod and his representatives, so we’re just waiting to hear back from that.
“I haven’t sat with Jarrod, it’s really down to the representatives and the football club to get to the bottom of that. We just focus on the football.
“All I can do is concentrate on Jarrod while he’s here and hopefully he’s here for a long time. If he’s not, he’s not.
“I can see both sides of it. I can see that Jarrod’s really enjoying his football, and I can see that if he doesn’t accept this deal, something will have to be done."
