Boro endured another difficult afternoon at the Riverside as Neil Warnock’s side were beaten 3-1 by Cardiff, but there was also plenty going on elsewhere. Scroll down and flick through our picture gallery to see who shone and who struggled in the second tier:
9. W: Marcelo Bielsa
What a job the Argentine has done. Leeds finished 13th in the Championship before Bielsa took charge yet, after play-off heartache last season, the Whites have completed their Premier League return. After promotion was confirmed, Bielsa went out to greet some Leeds fans who had gathered outside his house to say thanks. A nice touch. Photo: George Wood
10. L: Brentford
Huddersfield's win over West Brom on Friday night meant automatic promotion was in Brentford's hands. The Bees only needed four points from their final two games to go up and had won every game since the restart. Yet Saturday's shock 1-0 defeat at Stoke means Thomas Frank's side will probably have to settle for a play-off spot. What an unpredictable league. Photo: Alex Burstow
