Five of the 24 Championship clubs are still looking to get their first deal over the line, while the likes of Boro have made just one new addition. Others have been quick to bring in new recruits, with Leeds, Bristol City and Stoke particularly active. We take a closer look at some of the best Championship deals so far:
5. Bradley Johnson (Derby to Blackburn)
Now 32, the midfielder joined Blackburn on a two-year deal after his contract at Derby expired. Johnson still seems like he has plenty to offer, though, after making 28 league appearances for the Rams last season and helping them reach the play-off final. Photo: Jan Kruger
6. David Marshall (Hull to Wigan)
Marshall was Hull's No 1 goalkeeper last season and was a free agent after his contact expired at the KCOM Stadium. The Scotland international, 34, has now signed a two-year deal with Wigan. Photo: Tony Marshall
7. Patrick Bauer (Charlton to Preston)
The towering centre-back was Charton's Wembley hero last season, scoring the winner against Sunderland in the League One play-off final. But despite the Addicks' promotion to the Championship, Bauer, 26, signed a three-year deal at Preston. Photo: James Chance
