Swans chairman Huw Jenkins remains hopeful of striking a deal with Boro, having seen bids rejected for the strike pair this summer as they look to bolster their attacking options.
Emnes enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Swansea last season and manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to lure him back to the Liberty Stadium on a permanent basis.
Despite Middlesbrough snubbing offers for Emnes and Lita, Jenkins insists the moves are not dead in the water.
