Defender departs on loan

One Boro defender who has already left the club on loan is centre-back Sam Stubbs.

The 21-year-old was recalled from a loan spell at Hamilton Academical earlier this week and, as expected, has signed for Dutch top-flight club ADO Den Haag until the end of the season.

Stubbs will link-up with former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew who was appointed Den Haag’s new head coach in December.

Finally, Boro are one of three Championship clubs who have been linked with Yeovil winger Myles Hippolyte.

According to the Sun, the Glovers are desperate to hang on to one of their key players as they attempt to win promotion from the National League.

It’s been claimed that Millwall have shown the biggest interest in the 25-year-old who came through the ranks at Brentford before spells in Scotland with Dunfermline, St Mirren, Falkirk and Livingston.

Boro and Birmingham have also been credited with interest in the player.
