Striker Martin Braithwaite looks set to leave the Riverside Stadium this summer, with a pair of foreign giants interested.
Braithwaite only moved to Teesside last summer but failed to make a real impact in his 21 appearances, falling out of favour under new boss Tony Pulis.
The striker was shipped out on loan to Bordeaux in January and went on to net four times for the French side.
And now Gus Poyet's side are keen to tie up a permanent deal for the forward, according to the Yorkshire Post.
But Les Girondins could face competition from Italian side Lazio who also hold an interest in the Danish international - who recently represented his country at the World Cup.
Pulis is believed to be willing to part with Braithwaite this summer and does not view him as part of his plans moving forward.
