DUTCH international defender Dwight Tiendalli has joined Middlesbrough on loan from Swansea City until the end of the season while Luke Williams has joined Peterborough United.

The Boro Academy product has already had two loan spells away from the Riverside this season at Scunthorpe and most recently, Coventry City.

And the 21-year-old, who has previously enjoyed a loan spell at Hartlepool United, will go straight into the Posh squad for their clash with Coventry at the ABAX Stadium.

Posh manager Dave Robertson said: “Luke is an excellent addition to our strikeforce.

“He offers us something different. We spoke to Lee Tomlin and he gave us a glowing reference about Luke and his potential.

“Luke can play as a number nine or as a number 10 so he gives us some diversity in the way we play.

“It gives us an extra dimension and we are delighted to have him on board.”

Williams has scored once for Boro in five appearances this season, in the Capital One Cup win over Oldham back in August.

He also scored twice in six appearances for during his time at Scunthorpe, but failed to hit the net during his five-game spell at Coventry and returned to Teesside earlier in March.

Williams is an England under 20 international and has scored twice in four games for his country at that level.
