One of Middlesbrough's key players has been linked with a shock move overseas.
Striker Britt Assombalonga, who netted 15 times for Boro last season, has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Assombalonga only moved to Teesside last summer after sealing a £15m switch from Nottingham Forest, but is already attracting interest after a goal-laden first season.
Fener, who came second in the Turkish Super League last season, recently appointed former Liverpool and Spurs man Damien Comolli as their new Sporting Director.
And Comolli is keen to strengthen immediately, with Assombalonga rumoured to be one of his first targets as he looks for youthful imports.
Turkish broadcaster A Spor is reporting that Fenerbahce are keen on bringing the frontman to Istanbul on a season-long loan deal.
Comolli is also said to be an admirer of Manchester City's Bersant Celina, who spent last season on loan at Ipswich, and QPR forward Luke Freeman.
