The 22-year-old has represented Spain at youth level and could be set for a shock senior call-up from boss Julen Lopetegui.

Reports from newspaper SPORT in Spain claim that Lopetegui is looking to call-up an additional seven players for a pre-tournament training camp after naming his 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup.

With Real Madrid in Champions League final action this weekend, the Spanish squad is somewhat depleted with six players forced to team up with the national squad late after they have taken on Liverpool.

And that has opened the door for some younger players, with Lopetegui supposedly keen on filling the temporary gaps left by Madrid's stars with some fresh faces.

Practically, it will allow the Spanish boss an opportunity to deliver sessions with more players and may also give him the opportunity to cast his eye over some youngsters that might have slipped under the radar.

Some of those called-up could even feature for Spain against Switzerland on June 3, but the Madrid players will return to the squad ahead of travelling to Russia on June 7.

Lopetegui has not confirmed which, if any, players will be called-up to the training camp but SPORT suggest that Traore is one of those being considered.

The attacker has enjoyed a fine season at the Riverside Stadium having netted five times in 40 appearances.
