Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate appeared to be facing an injury crisis ahead of the club’s last game against QPR before the international break, yet many recovered in time to feature at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

George Friend, Ashley Fletcher and Darren Randolph all started against Rangers after spells on the sidelines, with Boro’s injury situation now looking far more promising.

Even so, senior trio Ryan Shotton (ankle), Rudy Gestede (hamstring) and Marcus Browne (hamstring) remain out ahead of Sunday’s fixture against the Tigers.

When asked about Boro’s injury situation, Woodgate said: “Browne may be next week, Shotts not sure, Rudy maybe after Leeds but I don’t want to push injuries.”

Boro will also be without George Saville at the weekend with the midfielder still suspended following his red card at Derby.
