MIDDLESBROUGH have been drawn at home to Accrington Stanley in the Capital One Cup.
Boro were today handed a rare home tie in the competition with the npower League Two side visiting the Riverside on the week commencing August 5.
With TV coverage highly unlikely, the match is set to be staged on Tuesday, August 6.
After 12 away ties in succession in the competition, news of a game on home turf is a welcome one.
Despite being on the road in last season’s Capital One Cup, Tony Mowbray’s side went all the way to the quarter-finals, where they lost to a late goal at eventual winners Swansea City.
