Strikers from Newcastle, Sunderland West Brom and other English clubs who Middlesbrough could sign this summer

Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock will be looking to sign at least another striker at the end of season – regardless of the division Boro find themselves in.

The Teessiders still have a chance of finishing in the play-offs this campaign but are seven points off the top six with 11 games to go.

With Boro frontmen Britt Assombalonga and Ashley Fletcher set to see their deals expire at the end of the campaign, Warnock knows his side could be left short in the attacking department.

Boro have struggled to find a regular goal scorer this season, with Duncan Watmore their top scorer on six in all competitions – despite the forward only arriving in November.

Warnock has already been looking at potential transfer targets and will be keeping an eye on players who will be out of contract this summer.

With financial uncertainty at many English clubs, there could be an opportunity for Boro to find a real bargain.
