Middlesbrough have already brought in four new players following the arrivals of Joe Lumley, Sammy Ameobi, Lee Peltier and Uche Ikpeazu.
Boro boss Neil Warnock still wants to make ‘four or five’ more signings this summer as the Teessiders look to challenge for promotion from the Championship.
Several other second-tier clubs have also strengthened in recent weeks, while some are yet to make their first signing of the summer.
Now that Championship clubs have returned for pre-season training and contracts have expired, more deals are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
The first Championship match of the season is set to take place on Friday, August 6 when Bournemouth host West Brom.

1. GK: Joe Lumley - Middlesbrough
The 26-year-old is expected to be Boro's No 1 this season after joining Boro on a free transfer from QPR.

2. RB: Ollie Turton - Huddersfield
A solid right-back, 28, who helped Blackpool win promotion via the play-offs last season and has now signed a two-year deal at Huddersfield.

3. CB: Matty Pearson - Huddersfield
Another defensive signing for Huddersfield. The no-nonsense centre-back, 27, has played regularly in the Championship for Luton over the last two seasons and has signed a three-year deal with The Terriers.

4. CB: Ben Wilmot - Stoke
After being a regular starter at Watford, the 21-year-old fell down the pecking order at Vicarage Road. He still looked assured at Championship level, though, and could be a decent signing for Stoke.
