Middlesbrough have already brought in four new players following the arrivals of Joe Lumley, Sammy Ameobi, Lee Peltier and Uche Ikpeazu.
Boro boss Neil Warnock still wants to make ‘four or five’ more signings this summer as the Teessiders look to challenge for promotion from the Championship.
Several other second-tier clubs have also strengthened in recent weeks, while some are yet to make their first signing of the summer.
Now that Championship clubs have returned for pre-season training and contracts have expired, more deals are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
The first Championship match of the season is set to take place on Friday, August 6 when Bournemouth host West Brom.
