Championship clubs have been forced to cut their spending over the last year as the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause financial restrictions in the EFL – but which clubs made the biggest profits or losses during the last 12 months?

Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock has said he wants to sign eight or nine new players this summer, yet he’s also claimed he won’t spend ‘stupid money’ in the current climate.

Boro made three permanent signings last summer as Grant Hall, Sam Morsy and Chuba Akpom joined the Teessiders, while Duncan Watmore, Jordan Archer, Darnell Fisher and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing arrived later in the campaign.
