The Middlesbrough starting XI Neil Warnock could name against Sheffield Wednesday - with two changes from Rotherham United win
Middlesbrough will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins when they host Sheffield Wednesday at the Riverside – and Boro boss Neil Warnock has limited options.
The Teessiders will be without long-term absentees Dael Fry, Marcus Tavernier, Anfernee Dijksteel, Sam Morsy and Marcus Browne for the match.
Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been sidelined with a thigh issue, while Grant Hall and Darnell Fisher are also doubts for the match.
Boro only named five outfield substitutes during their 2-1 win over Rotherham last time out, none of whom had any previous experience in the Championship.
That did allow midfielder Connor Malley to come on and make his senior debut, though, and the 21-year-old may be handed his first senior start against Wednesday.
Warnock has also said he wants to give young goalkeeper Sol Brynn a game before the end of the campaign.
Here’s the Boro side we think could start this weekend.
