Middlesbrough have loaned out two out-of-favour players to Championship rivals today.
Leeds United have taken winger Muzzy Carayol on a deal until the end of the season, while left-back James Husband is off to Huddersfield Town for a month’s loan.
Carayol, 27, who scored three times on loan at Huddersfield earlier this season, could make a rapid debut for Leeds in tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Rotherham and told leedsunited.com: “It was a move which happened very quickly and one which I am delighted to have been able to finalise so soon.
“I know the gaffer and Paul Raynor from my time at Crawley and I am looking forward to working with both of them again here.”
Carayol, who joined Boro from Bristol Rovers in 2012, has made 54 appearances for the Teessiders, scoring 12 goals.
Huddersfield head coach David Wagner was delighted to capture ex-Doncaster player Husband, who has already had a loan at Fulham this season. He told htafc.com: “From what I’ve seen from him during his loan period at Fulham, he has attributes that will work in our style.”
Husband has made only a handful of appearances for Boro since joining in the summer of 2014.
