TEENAGER Bruno Pilatos has left Middlesbrough by mutual consent.

The 19-year-old right-back, who joined Boro as a schoolboy in 2002, signed a four-year professional contact in summer 2010 but did not make the first team.

The parties felt that a mutually agreeable departure was in the interests of Middlesbrough FC and Bruno, who is now free to find a new club.

Boro boss Tony Mowbray is well off for defenders at the Riverside and there was little prospect for the ex-England Youth international.

“Middlesbrough FC would like to thank Bruno for all his efforts during his time at the club and wish him well for the future,” said a club statement.
