JOHN Carver says Newcastle United’s fans were right to boo him and his players after their FA Cup defeat.
Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa scored the only goal of this afternoon’s third-round tie at the King Power Stadium.
Caretaker manager Carver ushered his players towards the club’s 4,319-strong travelling support at the final whistle.
But the 49-year-old and the team were bood by frustrated fans.
“They’re entitled to do that,” said Carver.
“We deserved it. They pay their money. They’re entitled to do that.
“But it was important that went across and showed our appreciation for their support.”
