ALAN Pardew will throw everything he’s got at Manchester City – despite next week’s Europa League clash against Benfica.
Newcastle United take on the Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow.
The fixture is followed by the first leg of the club’s Europa League quarter-final against Benfica in Lisbon.
Pardew is without a clutch of players – including Davide Santon, Cheik Tiote, Massadio Haidara and Mathieu Debuchy – for the City game.
However, he won’t juggle his resources between the two games, with the focus, for now, solely on the Premier League.
“I’ll play my strongest team, but I have got players unavailable,” Pardew said.
“Santon and Sadio won’t be involved. Debuchy won’t be involved.”
Tiote yesterday pulled up in training and is being assessed ahead of the Benfica match.
“Unfortunately Cheik has pulled out. It looks like a strain,” added Pardew. “Fingers crossed for him on Thursday, but he definitely won’t play in this one.”
Meanwhile, the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland at St James’s Park on April 14 has sold out.
