ALAN Pardew fired a parting shot at Laurent Blanc after Paris St-Germain’s coach finally landed Yohan Cabaye.
Cabaye is set to join PSG after Newcastle accepted a bid worth more than £19m, plus add-ons, for the midfielder.
Blanc had long coveted the 28-year-old, who had returned to form at United after putting behind the events of last August when he attempted to force through a move to Arsenal.
And the former France coach made no secret of the fact in a series of public statements which irritated Pardew and United’s hierarchy.
“I don’t think it’s right to keep mentioning players’ names who are under contract at other clubs,” Pardew said.
“I try to steer away from it. If I said it once, I’d certainly never back it up again.
“I’m a little bit disappointed he’s been doing that, I guess.”
