NEWCASTLE United are looking to tie down teenage striker Adam Armstrong on a long-term contract.
Armstrong, who turned 17 today, has been an unused substitute in recent weeks.
And United manager Alan Pardew could hand him his debut off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur at St James’s Park tomorrow night.
“I think he’s got a part to play somewhere along the line - he’s somebody we have high hopes for,” said Pardew.
“Hopefully, we’ll secure his long-term future here in the next few days.”
