DARYL Janmaat has joined Newcastle United’s lengthy injured list – and is doubtful for tomorrow night’s visit to Burnley after limping out of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at West Ham United.
The defender was today being assessed ahead of the Premier League clash at Turf Moor.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, however, is at least hopeful of having captain Fabricio Coloccini and winger Rolando Aarons available.
Striker Emmanuel Riviere – who has been out for several weeks – was an unused substitute at Upton Park, and could feature against Sean Dyche’s side, held at home by Aston Villa on Saturday.
“We’ve got one or two coming back this week that will feature in the Burnley game,” said Pardew. “Emmanuel, even though he didn’t get on because of the injury to Daryl, is in and around and ready and ready to play.
“Aarons should be around and the same for Colo. That is what Premier League sqauds are for.
“We have done absolutely superbly with the guys we have got now and the guys who have come in.”
