JOHN Carver today warned Newcastle United that Chelsea will be a “wounded animal” at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Premier League champions saw another title almost certainly slip out of their grasp at Old Trafford on Sunday, when Manchester United moved six points clear with two games left thanks to a 2-1 win.
And Sir Alex Ferguson’s team will clinch the championship mathematically if they take a point from tomorrow’s game at Blackburn Rovers.
However, assistant manager Carver – who has overseen training this week while boss Alan Pardew has scouted potential summer targets in Europe – isn’t expecting an easy ride from Chelsea, despite their obvious disappointment.
