Liverpool could lose key defender and Demba Ba and Ramires could leave Chelsea

LIVERPOOL and Chelsea are making the transfer headlines this morning.

Key defender Martin Skrtel is the subject of interest from his old club, while Chelsea’s former Newcastle United forward Demba Ba could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Express reports that Chelsea are lining up a January bid for Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz, 28, and plan to offer Ba, 28, in part exchange.

In other transfer stories, Real Madrid are plotting a £15m move for Chelsea midfielder Ramires in the January transfer window (Metro) while Blues manager Jose Mourinho wants the club to make a big bid for Schalke star Julian Draxler, 20, in January (Daily Star).

Meanwhile at Anfield, the Daily Mirror reports that Zenit St Petersburg are set to launch yet another bid to tempt Liverpool defender Skrtel back to the club. The 28-year-old joined Liverpool from Zenit in 2008.
