ALAN Pardew admitted Loic Remy will be a huge “loss” for Newcastle United in Saturday’s Tyne-Wear derby.
The forward was sent off in last night’s goalless draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road after clashing with Bradley Johnson after he was fouled by the midfielder.
The Newcastle boss has ruled out an appeal, meaning they will be without their 11-goal leading scorer for the games against Sunderland, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Pardew said: “It is a loss. He’s been involved in 41 of our goals. He’s class player.”
With seven-goal Yohan Cabaye joining PSG and Papiss Demba Cisse struggling with a back problem and Yoan Gouffran also sidelined, Pardew is short of striking options.
