NORWICH City duo Andrew Surman and Russell Martin are on Newcastle United’s transfer radar.
United manager Alan Pardew and chief scout Graham Carr are already drawing up a list of potential targets ahead of the summer.
And Pardew’s weighing up summer moves for the pair, according to sources in Norfolk.
Surman started his career at his former club Southampton and the 25-year-old has impressed in Norwich’s impressive first season back in the Premier League.
The former England Under-21 international – who has scored four goals so far this season – is out of contract next year.
United’s transfer priority in the summer transfer window is a defender and versatile Martin can play at right-back and centre-half.
The 26-year-old, a Scotland international, is a former Wycombe Wanderers team-mate of Newcastle’s Mike Williamson.
Martin signed a new deal at Carrow Road last year, and played a pivotal role in helping the club to the promotion from the Championship.
