Manchester United bid for Tottenham’s Bale as Sunderland consider ex-Liverpool and Chelsea star Meireles

SUNDERLAND have been linked with a move for a former Liverpool and Chelsea star in today’s papers.

According to the Daily Mail, Paolo Di Canio is considering a move for midfielder Raul Meireles, 30, who is unsettled at Fenerbahce.

However, one of Sunderland’s midfielders is being watched by Italian gianst Lazio.

Radio station talkSPORT say that Lazio are keen on Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson, 28, who only has a year left on his current deal.

Elsewhere, Wayne Rooney’s future is obviously across all the newspapers again today.

But a possible incoming at manchester United is Gareth Bale, with the Daily Mirror reporting that David Moyes is making a a £60m bid for the 24-year-old Tottenham star.
