MOUSSA Sissoko is ready to step up a level as Newcastle United look to power up the Premier League table.
Sissoko made a superb start to his career at St James’s Park after his January move from Toulouse.
The 24-year-old helped the club to wins over Chelsea and Aston Villa in his first two games for Newcastle.
But the struggled to maintain that form during the latter months of last season, when his best position became a talking point among fans.
And Newcastle supporters are yet to see the best of the France international this term.
United manager Alan Pardew’s confident Sissoko will soon be influencing the outcome of matches.
“I think Moussa’s one of those players who’s giving a level of performance, like he did against Everton (in Monday night’s 3-2 defeat),” Pardew told SportMail.
“But some games he can really hurt teams.
“He is that type of player where that bus isn’t going to come along every week.
“But when it does, you just enjoy it.
“He still does a very good job for us. Obviously he adds height and power to our team, as we’re not the biggest team. He’s very important.”
