REMIE Streete is keen to return to Port Vale – if Newcastle United’s injury problems ease.
Streete was recalled from his loan at Vale Park last week because of injuries to defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor.
But the promising 20-year-old, needed as cover at St James’s Park, could return to the League One club before the Football League’s emergency loan window closes on November 27.
Streete sent a message of support to Vale’s players on Twitter after they beat Rochdale 1-0 at home on Saturday.
And the defender, from South Shields, also hinted at a quick return to the Potteries.
Streete tweeted: “Great win for @OfficialPVFC against Rochdale on Sat. Hope the lads keep up the good work, may be back soon.”
Streete, yet to make his competitive debut for Newcastle, had only just had his initial 28-day loan extended until January.
The centre-half is out of contract at United next summer.
