Newcastle United will play a pre-season friendly at Doncaster next month.

Boss Rafa Benitez will take his side to the Keepmoat Stadium on Wednesday, July 20, for a 7.45pm kick-off.

Newcastle are preparing for life in the Championship after relegation from the Premier League, while Doncaster will be getting ready for life in League One after their own drop from the second tier.

Newcastle last played at the Keepmoat in March, 2010, when Andy Carroll scored the winner in a season where the Magpies went on to lift the Championship title.

A friendly at Irish side Bohemian will be played on Saturday, July 16 (2pm).

Ticket details are yet to be announced.
