Newcastle unchanged for Stoke clash

JOHN Carver has named an unchanged Newcastle United side for this afternoon’s home game against Stoke City.

Head coach Carver has kept faith with the team that beaten Hull City 3-0 last weekend.

Fit-again defender Paul Dummett is on the bench along with midfielders Mehdi Abeid and Gabriel Obertan, both available again after recovering from long-term injuries.

Stoke striker Peter Crouch – who scored the home goal in Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat at the Britannia Stadium earlier this season – is on the bench for the visitors at St James’s Park (2.05pm kick-off).

United are two points behind 10th-placed Stoke in the Premier League.
