NEWCASTLE United will begin their 2013/14 campaign on Monday, August 19 after their opening fixture was switched for Sky Sports TV coverage.

Sky announced today their list of live fixtures, with Newcastle’s games at Everton, the derby with Sunderland, Tottenham Hotspur away and the home game against West Bromwich Albion also re-scheduled.

Their opening game of the campaign, at Man City, was always likely to be moved given it is Manuel Pellegrini’s first game in charge of the Blues.

The derby at the Stadium of Light has been scheduled for 4pm on Sunday, October 27, but it may be that Northumbria Police have a say about the kick-off time.

BT Sport has also revealed their fixtures, choosing two of Newcastle’s home games – against Liverpool and Chelsea – in the early part of the season.
