NEWCASTLE United’s Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy are both a booking away from a one-game ban.
The pair were both shown yellow cards late in Wednesday night’s 2-0 Capital One Cup defeat to Manchester City.
And Cabaye and Debuchy will face Chelsea at St James’s Park in the Premier League tomorrow knowing another booking would see them miss the club’s game against Tottenham Hotspur on November 10.
The France internationals, both combative players, are no strangers to suspensions.
Midfielder Cabaye, 27, was shown 13 yellow cards for club and country last season.
And right-back Debuchy, signed from Lille in January, was known in France as a player whose appetite for a tackle occasionally got him into disciplinary trouble.
The 28-year-old – who scored in last weekend’s Wear-Tyne derby – was dismissed in April’s 6-0 defeat to Liverpool for two bookable offences.
