TIM Krul has been backed to send another message to Holland coach Louis van Gaal when Newcastle United take on Norwich City.
Krul was an unused substitute for his country’s two friendlies over the international break – despite his heroics in goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
Van Gaal instead fielded Ajax’s Jasper Cillessen in goal for both games, but United manager Alan Pardew feels Krul should be Holland’s No1 at next summer’s World Cup finals.
“Obviously, he did superbly (against Tottenham),” Pardew said.
“I think he’s a little bit disappointed he’s not Holland’s No1. I think he should be.
“There’s another chance for him against Norwich to show that he is.”
