NEWCASTLE United’s Ryan Taylor is training alongside World Cup-bound Wayne Rooney as he steps up his fitness work.
Taylor – who has been sidelined for 20 months through a succession of knee injuries – is in Portugal for some warm-weather training.
And the 29-year-old is working alongside Manchester United striker Rooney, who is preparing for England’s World Cup campaign.
Taylor today posted a video of himself running with Rooney on social networking site Instagram.
“Great to run this morning but great to work along side a fantastic player getting ready for the World Cup #Rooney,” wrote Taylor.
Taylor hopes to be close to full fitness in July when Newcastle’s players report back to the club for the start of pre-season training.
