Wigan had chances to open the scoring in the first half, most notably when Jamal Lowe dragged a low effort just inches wide. 4. How the opposition looked: Wigan Athletic
Paul Cook's side started brightly with Jamal Lowe and Gavin Massey looking particularly lively playing just off towering frontman Kieffer Moore. The visitors failed to take their chances though and were more direct in the second half. Boro withstood the pressure though. Photo: Owen Humphreys
